Creating Weekender Hat Co’s Branding

Weekender Hat Co. was built out of a love for great hats and the constant struggle of never finding one that fit quite right. Based in Waterloo, Ontario, the brand is all about creating hats that fit, feel, and look perfect—allowing people to live for the weekend!

Bringing the Brand to Life

Tyler came to me with just a name—Weekender Hat Co.—and the goal of building a full brand around it. From there, we dove into brainstorming sessions where we explored taglines, logos, color palettes, and hat designs that would capture the relaxed, adventurous spirit behind the name. It was all about building a brand that felt effortless yet intentional—something that would resonate with blue-collar Gen Z and millennial weekend warriors.

Developing an E-Commerce Website

Once the brand direction was clear, I built a full Shopify website that reflected the Weekender vibe: clean, bold, and easy to navigate. From product pages to checkout flow, every detail was designed to create a seamless shopping experience that felt on-brand and user-friendly. Weekender Hat Co. wesbsite

Building a Social Media Presence

To help Weekender get noticed, I built its social media presence from the ground up. I created and scheduled a mix of engaging content—from short-form videos to high-quality product graphics—focused on storytelling, brand values, and lifestyle imagery that connected with our target audience.

When building Weekender’s social media presence, I chose platforms where our target market—Gen Z and young millennials—spend most of their time. That meant creating tailored content for Instagram and TikTok to maximize reach, engagement, and brand relevance.

For Black Friday, I designed a seamless carousel that highlighted our hat deals in a bold, eye-catching way. As seen below

The Extra Details

To round out the customer experience, I designed custom thank-you cards and branded stickers to go inside each package. These little touches helped elevate the unboxing moment and reinforce the brand’s attention to detail and appreciation for its customers. Thank you card seen below.
